1) PUMPKINS A pumpkin is big (hands over head) A pumpkin is round (hands in front, making a circle) A pumpkin has a great big smile (with your fingers, make a smile-mouth) But doesn't make a sound. JACK-O-LANTERN See my jack-'o-lantern (hold hand out in front of you) Smiling right at you. (with fingers make smile at your mouth) You don't need to be afraid. (turn head as afraid) It can't holler BOO! (say boo loudly) 2) Five Little Birds Five little birds Sitting on a door. One jumped off. Then there were four. Four little birds Happy as can be. One flew away. Then there were three. Three little birds with nothing to do. One fell off. Then there were two. Two little birds Chirping in the sun. A bird flew away. Then there was one. One little bird Sitting in the sun. Away he flew. Then there were none. The Bunny Here is the bunny With ears so funny.     (hold up two fingers like a peace sign) And here is his Hole in the ground.       (make a circle with your finger and thumb) Each noise that he hears He pricks up his ears,    ("prick" up your two fingers as ears) And leaps in his Hole with a bound.        (make fingers leap into hole) The Parade Clap your hands             (clap hands) Stamp your feet.             (stamp feet) A parade is comming down the street.              (shade eyes with hand, looking down the street) Rum-tum-tum booms the big red drum.   (beat imaginary drum) Root-toot-toot tweets the little flute.       (blow imaginary flute) Bong-bong-bong clangs the big brass gong.  (hit imaginary gong) Clap your hands.              (clap hands) Stamp your feet.                (stamp feet) A parade is marching down the street.                (shade eyes with hand, looking  down the street) Fish in My Fishbowl Fish in my fishbowl         (make large circle with arms) See his tail sway             (spread and close fingers) Blowing little bubbles       (make little circles with finger and thumb) Swimming all day.           (sway tail and slowly move hand) Ride Your Pony Ride, ride, ride your pony     (hands extended; moving up and down) Up the hill and down.           (higher motion, lower motion, slowly) Ride him through the country. Ride him into town.               (continue galloping motion) Give him yellow corn to eat,   (motion of eating) And don't forget to say,         (shake finger) "Thank you, little pony, For my pleasant ride today."   (nod head) Jack in the Box Here is a box.              (make fist) Here is the top.             (lay other hand flat over fist) Lift up the lid.                (lift flat hand up off of fist) Out Jack will pop.          (make thumb "jump up" out of fist) I'll Touch I'll touch my chin, my cheek, my chair. I'll touch my head, my heels, my hair. I'll touch my knees, my neck, my nose. Then I'll dip down and touch my toes. I Take Good Care of Me I get good rest, sleep comfortably. I take good care of me! Yes, I take good care of me! I like good food, eat nutritiously, I take good care of me! Yes, I take good care of me! I don't stay stressed, relax totally. I take good care of me! Yes, I take good care of me! I keep so clean look magnificently. I take good care of me! Yes, I take good care of me! I get exercise, move actively. I take good care of me! Yes, I take good care of me! (Repeat getting softer and softer) Yes, I take good care of me! 3) FIVE LITTLE WITCHES (tune - 5 Little Monkeys) Five little witches jumping on a broom,                   (five fingers-handup and down) One jumped  off and went kaboom.                        (move hfand over - jumping off                                                                      and open both hands in front-kaboom) The ghost called the pumpkin,                                (Hand to ear as phone) The pumpkin said, "No more witches jumping on the broom."                (shake finger) (Continue singing the song-going to 4, 3, 2, and 1 witch jumping on the broom.) No more witches jumping on their brooms          (no fingers up) They all jumped off and went kaboom. ACTIVITIES: *  The children can make witch puppets to act out the song. *  Have five witches and brooms for the children to act out the song      on the flannel board. *  Make five witches hats fo the children to wear and give brooms to hold on      to, to pretend that they are jumping on them.  Let the children use these to act      out the song while it is being sung. 4) Five Spaghetti Sticks Five spaghetti sticks were cooking in a pot. The first one said, Oh my, it's getting hot! The second one said, What's tickling my nose? The third one said, It's the bubbles, I suppose! The fourth one said, I'm sticking to you! The fifth one said, Well, that won't do! So they cooked and they cooked, until they were done. Then somebody ate them, and then there were none!
