* Letter B Week Day one - Colored the letter Bb on a ditto and then glued on buttons Day two - bear out of a paper plate. The kids painted a large paper plate brown and then added facial features and a bow around his neck or in her hair. Day three - we made bubble pictures. We mixed paint with liquid soap in a large open cup. Then we put in staws and let the kids blow until bubbles came over the top. Then the kids put their papers over the bubble and the print were left. We used blue, yellow and red paint. Came out really pretty. Day four - i purchased rectangular shaped precut puzzles with a butterfly picture on it. The children could color each piece and then use it as a puzzle. Day five - stained glass butterflies. We cut a butterfly shape out of black paper, cut out the middle so only a frame remained, backed this frame with contact paper and then let the kids fill in the clear part with different color tissue paper that was put on one piece at a time and flattened down. They came out beautiful. * Banana Coconut Snowmen 1/2 banana each kid 1 tb honey 1/2 cup milk 1/3 cup shredded coconut toothpicks raisens carrot shredded in small pieces 1 large/medium/small piece banana per kid stir honey into milk dip banana into mix roll in coconut stack and secure with toothpicks and decorate and eat *************************** "B" Smells lots of paper bags lots of "b" word smells put in each bag and guess what it is bananas/bread/blueberry muffin/brownies/broccoli/bacon/bubble bath soap *************************** Blue Bubbles throwaway cup equal amounts of liquid dish soap/water blue food coloring or tempera straw (cut small slit in it to prevent sucking up into mouth but allowing bubbles to come out bottom) mix up bubble solution in each cup. add blue coloring. blow bubbles into cup until almost overflowing. take white paper and lay in the bubbles.
