October Once I had A Pumpkin sung to:( Did you ever see a lassie) Once I had a pumpkin, a pumpkin, a pumpkin. Oh, once I had a pumpkin with no face at all. With no eyes and no nose and no mouth, And no teeth-oh once I had a pumpkin, with no face at all. So I made a jack-o-lantern, jack-o-lantern, jack-o-lantern So I made a jack-o-lantern with a big funny face. With big eyes and big nose and mouth and big teeth So I made a jack-o-lantern with a big funny face! We are jack-o-lanterns We are jack-o-lanterns ( put hands on either side of your face) Boo, boo, boo ( flick your fingers at the group) We are out to scare you ( put your fingers on either side of face) Boo, boo, boo ( flick your fingers at the group) We have teeth that cannot bite ( show your teeth) In our heads a candle light ( show you putting a candle inside) We are Jack-o-lanterms ( put hands on either side of face) Boo, Boo, BOO  ( flick fingers at group) Halloween  Fingerplay A pumpkin is big ( circle hands over head) A pumpkin is round ( circle hands in front) A pumpkin has a great big smile ( outline smile on mouth) But doesn't make a sound ( Put finger over lips) The scarecrow in the Dark Sung to:  the farmer in the dell The scarecrow in the dark, the scarecrow in the dark, Hi ho on Halloween, The scarecrow in the dark. The scarecrow calls the witch, the scarecrow calls the witch, Hi ho on Halloween, the scarecrow calls the witch. The witch calls the bat, the witch calls the bat, Hi ho on Halloween the witch calls the bat. The bat calls a ghost, the bat calls a ghost. Hi ho on Halloween, the bat calls a ghost. The ghost says boo. the ghost says boo, Hi ho on Halloween, the ghost says BOO! Eight giggling ghosts Eight giggling ghosts,         Like to give you a fright, When they come out to play,         On Halloween night. One ghosts laughs,          And one ghost giggles; One ghost ha-ha's,          And one hoots and wiggles. One ghost cackles,          And one ghost roars; One ghost guffaws,          And one rolls on the floor. Eight giggling ghosts,          Aren't much of a fright. When they come out to play,          On a halloween night! Five Little Pumpkins Five little pumpkins growing on a vine. Said the first little pumpkin, "Don't I look fine?" Said the second little pumpkin, "I'll be a pie." Said the third  little pumpkin, "i'll be a lantern by and by." Said the fourth little pumpkin, "I will, too." But the fifth  little pumpkin just said, "Boo!" Five Little Pumpkins Five little pumpkins at my door, A neighbor took one and then there were four. Four little pumpkins under a tree, Along came a farmer and then there were three. Three little pumpkins that looked so new I gave one away and then there were two. Two little pumpkins out in the sun, Mother made a pie and then there was one. Of all the pumpkins, there was just one. So I made a jack-o-lantern, and that was fun!
